Maggie Rose almost one!

Hello Everyone!! I just finally got around to taking a few pictures of  miss Maggie, she is almost one which is hard to believe!! As most of you know we have been faced with some difficult situations and a roller coaster of a ride lately..between my mom getting diagnosed with uterine cancer in April, having surgery, getting the thumbs up that it was stage I and cured with surgery. Then the very next day finding out that our Momo had an abnormal mammogram which over the coarse of a couple weeks turned into a surgery for her to remove the lymph nodes that were affected, to finding out it is Burkitts Lymphoma to being in the hospital getting highly potent chemo in her spine and through a port in her chest. We are hopeful for the best for her in her treatment. Burkitts is a very very fast growing cancer but fast growing cancers we are told respond well to chemotherapy.  To give an example of how fast her cancer has grown since being in the hospital for 1 week she now has numbness in her mouth and lips, which means the cancer has already gotten in her spine, but they are treating that with the intrathecal chemo. Anyway obviously we have had to find someone else to watch the girls. We quickly interviewed some people and made a decision. We choose a New Yorker Amanda or ("Manthe") as Sophie call her. She has had a rough two weeks to start the girls have been more affected by Momo leaving than we anticipated. Also my work has implemented 16 hours of mandatory call every 4 weeks and they have been needing that call person almost every shift everyday. Anyway so in the last 7 days I've been at work for 6 of them. Maggie has had a lot of separation anxiety, where she cries anytime I leave the room and cries most of the day for Amanda, she has had bouts of diarrhea and has been refusing a bottle for Amanda. Sophie has been refusing to eat and get dressed some days, but for the most part has been cooperating with Amanda. And to top it all off we are headed to my parents this weekend for my Grandpa Fays memorial he passed away in early March. I guess on a brighter note, I will get to see all my mom's side of the family which I haven't seen  since our wedding 5 years ago. Crazy 5 years of marriage, I love you Breaksy more than ever!!  Anyway please keep Mary in your thoughts and prayers. We look forward to our planned trips with you Jess and the S.F. Cliffe's for some camping. Rich and Susan we hope to see you soon, we miss you and Jer.
