My new winter hat and mittens

My grandparents hooked me up this Christmas, they must be worried that I might get cold this winter because I got a really warm snow suit from Grandma and Pop pop in Kansas and a soft winter hat and mittens from Grammy and Grampy in T-ville.

Sophie's New Gear

Sophie got a new Baby Bjorn carrier from Grandma and Grandpa Cliffe that she loves to ride in. We take her on walks and she loves looking out on the world. Today Emily and I took a stroll through Caughlin Ranch with the pups in tow. Grandma and Grandpa Cliffe also got her a snow suit, which is a little to big at the moment, but she sure looks cute in it. Grandma already put a smaller one in the mail, she wants to make sure her grandbaby is warm this winter. Thanks Grandma.

Thanksgiving Video

A little late but here is a video of our Thanksgiving. Sophie is not in it very much because she slept most of the day away!

Some new pictures of "the little one"

Sophie is growing up so fast, and so is her hair. She has become so aware of her surroundings and loves checking things out. Napping during the day time only takes away from her exploration of the world, and she consequently doesn't have as much time for napping these days. She is learning to roll over, and will be cruising around in no time. She especially loves her dogs. She loves to watch them and let them lick her hands and face.

Here is what happens when Emily and I get bored and part her hair on the wrong side. Life's simple pleasures.

Sophie hanging out in the kitchen while Mom makes African peanut stew.

Smells good Momma, it's making my mouth water.

Sophie's friend Megan

Yesterday Mommy was very sick with the flu, and so I went to my nanny Mary's house. I had so much fun, I played with Mary all day and then her children Megan and Joe when they got home from school. I played so much that I barely took a nap! Mommy was very thankful that Mary took care of me yesterday. Today she is feeling better, so we are going to hang out today.

Christmas Lights Time!!

Daddy strongly dislikes Christmas time because Mommy like to put up lots of lights and decorations which often require his help. Most years it is a fight for Mommy to get what she wants but usually she does, she taught me that a little smile will usually help, I'll keep that in the back of my mind for the future! This year Mommy is not feeling so well so Daddy took it upon himself to do the job. Good Job Daddy it looks great. We will post a picture soon. Here are some pictures of me helping and Daddy hard at work, by the way its snowing and in the 30's.

Pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving
