Sophie at another baby shower!!

Today I attended another baby shower, for Jenna. Jenna is my mommy's childhood friend. It was fun, I hung out on the grass on my blanket at Grammy's house, with my friend Mae. Mae is about 3 months older. Also there is a flashback to my puppy Powder when she was about my age! She was silly then and silly now. And a flashback to Mommy and Daddy over the 4th of July this year.

Grandma Cliffe's Visit

My Grammy from Kansas came to visit for about a week. We had so much fun. We spent the weekend in beautiful Lake Tahoe. My Uncle Josh and Auntie Jeanine, and cous Chloe' also came. We spent the day at the beach, and mommy and daddy actually swam a lot in the lake, while I hung out with Grammy and Chloe' on shore. Mommy and daddy said lake Tahoe is very cold and I see how much my puppies Petey and Powder shiver when they swim, but I didn't think it was too bad, when Mommy wet my hair and dunked my feet in the lake. Next year I will be ready to go in even further. On Sunday we took a tour of the lake and did some hiking. Everyone forgot to bring hiking shoes and were all in flip flops so I was lucky mommy did fall and hurt both of us as we all know she isn't the most coordinated individual. Grammy and Daddy slipped a few times, but we got to see some beautiful terrain. We also stopped on our way home from the lake to visit Uncle Biz, Auntie Becky, and cousins Ruby and Hayden. Ruby gave me some cool shades, thanks! I had lots of fun while Grammy was here, I can't wait to meet Pop Pop Cliffe and Uncle Jeremy. By the way guys thanks for letting Grammy come visit, I heard you guys had some difficult obstacles to overcome, but you did it. I knew you could! Here are some highlights from the week.

Preparing for Grandma Cliffe's arrival

The pups are warming up the beds and climbing on tables in anticipation for Grammy Cliffe to show up tomorrow. Sophie is getting some rest so she's ready for our fun weekend at Lake Tahoe. She get's to meet Grammy Cliffe, Uncle Josh, Aunt Jeanine, and her cousin Chloe Soleil for the first time this weekend.

We took the dogs to the park today to throw the ball. We had to slow down the footage to show all the action that ensued.

Plumas County Fair

Last Friday Grammy and my folks took me to the Plumas County Fair in Quincy CA. We watched the beef show where young kids showed steers. Mommy did this when she was young, and from what I hear, she was pretty good at it. She was quite good at the showmanship, daddy told me that comes easy when you're a drama queen (oh snap!!!!! daddy doesn't really think that, I'm just trying to be funny). Anyhew I digress. It is pretty cool to see how mommy grew up. We hung out with family friends Pam and Barbara, and then Carly showed up with baby Mae. She's a couple months older than me, and we'll probably do some chillin in the future. Daddy kept making bad jokes about being at the rodeo, and wanting to ride the Scrambler. He never got his chance because we had to rush home to make it in time for Lindy's surprise birthday party. I am a busy girl.

Going to Lindy's Baby Shower

I had a big Saturday. Mommy got me all dressed up in my pink dress to go to Lindy's baby shower. Then mommy and daddy took me to my first baseball game. We got to sit in one of the luxury suites at the Reno Aces game. It probably would have been pretty cool if I had been awake for any of it.

Sophie's First Day at the Beach

Matt, Jamie, Emily and I took Sophie to the beach for the first time. We had a really fun day and Sophie just slept the whole time.

Sophie is starting to become more aware of her surroundings, and of course Petey is aware of where she is at all times.

We are going to the beach tomorrow and I am pumped about it. We are going to Wally World to get a little girl tent so I can stay out of the sun.

Emily brought Sophie in to introduce her to my coworkers. Besides some 4 ft. projectile peepee and poopoo, it was a great visit. Everyone thought she was adorable.
