Our girl is gangsta, but a very polite gangsta

Me & Mamma on my 1 week old birthday!

West side !!!!!!

Dear Petey,
Although I appreciate you guarding over me 24-7, you could use a breath mint.
Love Sophie

Sophie sleeps a lot, and is pretty cute when she does.

Sophie and mom are doing great at home. Dad went back to work, so it's been really nice having Grandma Burfeind stay with mom and help her out. We've been having some gourmet meals. We are also looking forward to Grandma Cliffe coming to visit in early August, Sophie can't wait to meet her.

Auntie Becky & Ruby & Hayden visit!

Resting for her first adventure

We are heading to the pediatrician today. It'll be Sophie's first big adventure out in the car. It'll be so riveting in fact, she probably won't even open her eyes.

Our New Family

The pups are still a big part of our family, but they are not allowed to get up on the couch for a while. They are adjusting nicely to the new addition to the family.

Sophie is Here

Sophie Makena Cliffe was born at 7:oo pm on Tuesday, July 21st. She weighed 6 lbs 9 oz, and measured 19.25 inches long. They broke Emily's water at 1:00 pm and she delivered at 7:00 pm. We want to send a special thanks
to Laura Carlson (Emily's friend from nursing school, who works on labor and delivery) who came in on her day off to help Emily work through the pain and deliver naturally. We got the royal treatment at the hospital and it was an amazing experience. Sophie has a full head of hair, which we fully expected since her father is "pretty much an ape."
