Sophie is coming soon, so I am trying to tie up a bunch of projects on my list. The thing is that I come up with new projects faster than I can finish them. This is my latest. I added this new bed and plantings. Next I am going to build a little bridge to cross it.

A day at the beach

Emily, the pups, and myself spent the day at Hidden Beach in Lake Tahoe. Although the clouds and rain threatened, it ended up being a perfect day to relax on the beach.....not that all of us relaxed. The pups were pretty fired up to explore, swim, and fetch. Enjoy the footage.

We went to watch Biz at the rodeo on Saturday. It was a lot of fun to hang out with Becky and the kids and watch some cool events.

Sophie's Room

We've pretty much finished Sophie's room. We still have to hang the window treatment, but that's about it. We refinished the hardwood floors, hung new closet doors, put up chair rail, painted (you'll never guess who picked the colors), built custom sized shelves for the closet, bought new furniture, and all the trimmings. Emily has already even bought baby lotion that sits next to her nicely organized diapars and baby wipes (yes she already bought baby wipes).....Nesting????. Anyhew, we just added the new rocker/glider that Grandma and Grandpa Cliffe bought us, so we're pretty much ready.....with preparing the room at least.

Emily's Birthday Party

We had a bunch of friends and family over on Saturday to celebrate Emily's birthday and kick off the summer. The weather didn't cooperate, it's been abnormally rainy for the last week straight. We had to play corn hole in the garage, but it worked out well and we had a really good time. The home brew that we made for the party was fantastic, and everybody really enjoyed it. We grilled some carne asade and had some really delicious vittles.
