Sophie's New Gear
Sophie got a new Baby Bjorn carrier from Grandma and Grandpa Cliffe that she loves to ride in. We take her on walks and she loves looking out on the world. Today Emily and I took a stroll through Caughlin Ranch with the pups in tow. Grandma and Grandpa Cliffe also got her a snow suit, which is a little to big at the moment, but she sure looks cute in it. Grandma already put a smaller one in the mail, she wants to make sure her grandbaby is warm this winter. Thanks Grandma.

Thanksgiving Video
A little late but here is a video of our Thanksgiving. Sophie is not in it very much because she slept most of the day away!
More Pictures
Here I am in my Christmas outfit my Grammy from Taylorsville got me. Mom and I were out yesterday Christmas shopping and I got lots of compliments! Thanks Grammy for the super festive outfit.
I am so tired after my rice cereal that sometimes I can't even stay awake long enough to finish it. Its hard being a 5 month old!

Some new pictures of "the little one"
Sophie is growing up so fast, and so is her hair. She has become so aware of her surroundings and loves checking things out. Napping during the day time only takes away from her exploration of the world, and she consequently doesn't have as much time for napping these days. She is learning to roll over, and will be cruising around in no time. She especially loves her dogs. She loves to watch them and let them lick her hands and face.

Here is what happens when Emily and I get bored and part her hair on the wrong side. Life's simple pleasures.

Sophie hanging out in the kitchen while Mom makes African peanut stew.

Smells good Momma, it's making my mouth water.

Sophie's friend Megan
Yesterday Mommy was very sick with the flu, and so I went to my nanny Mary's house. I had so much fun, I played with Mary all day and then her children Megan and Joe when they got home from school. I played so much that I barely took a nap! Mommy was very thankful that Mary took care of me yesterday. Today she is feeling better, so we are going to hang out today.

Christmas Lights Time!!
Daddy strongly dislikes Christmas time because Mommy like to put up lots of lights and decorations which often require his help. Most years it is a fight for Mommy to get what she wants but usually she does, she taught me that a little smile will usually help, I'll keep that in the back of my mind for the future! This year Mommy is not feeling so well so Daddy took it upon himself to do the job. Good Job Daddy it looks great. We will post a picture soon. Here are some pictures of me helping and Daddy hard at work, by the way its snowing and in the 30's.

Pre-Thanksgiving Thanksgiving
Darren and Lindy hosted a pre-Thanksgiving dinner, which was lots of fun to get together with friends. Here are some photos from the evening.

Grandpa Cliffe Comes to Visit
Last weekend Grandpa Cliffe came to meet Sophie. It was really nice having him over for some relaxation time and quality time with Baby Sophie.
Grandpa enjoyed feeding Sophie and kissing those cheeks profusely. He even solicited some help to double team her at times. Grandpa was a huge hit with the pups. They loved having someone tug on a ball with them.
He also got to go to Taylorsville and see where Emily grew up. We had a really good time checking out the horses, and visiting with Emily's parents. Mrs. B cooked up a wonderful dinner.
Thanks again Grandpa for buying Sophie her new high chair. She enjoyed sitting in it at the dinner table last night.
It was wonderful having Grandpa Cliffe. Maybe someday Grandma and Grandpa Cliffe will move to Reno and be able to watch Sophie school other girls on the basketball court.

Pics of Sophie and her new cruiser
We are looking forward to Grandpa Cliffe coming tomorrow. Sophie's chubby cheeks are ready for some kisses from Grandpa. One of the pictures shows Sophie's new jogging cruiser that Grandma Cecile was kind enough to buy for her. It's got great suspension, so mommy, daddy, and the pups can get some exercise.

Sophie's first road trip.
We took a trip last weekend to visit Great Grandma Cecile in Walnut Creek and then on to San Francisco to see Aunt Jeanine, Uncle Josh, and Cousin Chloe'. It was a great trip the weather was beautiful, and we were in good company. Sophie was a bit challenging as she was out of her element, but we all survived. Dada says it was the hardest on mommy. Thanks to Grandma Cecile mommy and dada have a brand new Bob jogging stroller, now there is no excuse to not get back in shape!
